Bishop Martin C.E. Primary School
50th Anniversary

Foundation Stone

The Rt. Rev. Clifford Martin, who was the Bishop of Liverpool  from 1944 to 1965, gave his name to our school. He laid the foundation stone here on 28th April 1967 in a ceremony which was attended by Rt. Rev. L. Brown, Bishop of Warrington; Ven. E. Evans, Archdeacon of Warrington; Councillor W. Rigby, Chairman of the Urban District Council; and many members of our local community.

We would love to hear from any of you who were there on that day!

Keep checking back as we will be adding more photographs from our school archive.

We will also let you know about all of our special activities, as we begin to celebrate our 50th Anniversary.
